I'm back from holidays.

Hi, I'm back from holidays. I'm well and I'll tell you that travelling with a 3 months baby was a definite check of parental skills and patience. 6.000km one way. 2 planes. 20 hours one way. I've done it. Of course with a help of my lovely husband.

If you plan to travel read my advice lens Travelling with newborn. My advice for everyone is to book travel sky cot (bassinet). Look at the picture! Was a great help but you have to fight for it and book in advance as there are always many parents who need it.

Have you ever breastfed while flying? I just read the news Mother kills her baby while breastfeeding on the plane. She basically smothers her... Very sad! Poor mother. I would never forgive myself for that! RIP baby girl!

New found respect for single mothers/fathers!

My friend just mailed me and asked how am I. I wrote her back that I have a new found respect for single mothers/fathers. I'm so glad that I have a supportive husband and family who flew from far specially to help me my first month. Respect for all single mothers and fathers!

So how I'm doing? Well!
I have many questions like How to treat cradle cap? When to give a soother to newborn? Is it safe to travel with a newborn? Many many questions. I'm happy that we have World Wide Web. No need for book. The favorite website is Babycenter.I suggest subscribing to newsletter.

Welcome to the planet Earth!

Finally I found time... I would like to welcome my baby son Jaspreet to the planet Earth! After 14.5 hours of labour and c-section we were finally blessed with Jassi. When I saw him appearing from theatre curtain, I said to myself:
HE WAS WORTH THE WAIT!

Today he is 2 months and he is a lovely boy whose smile lightens my life every day!

Big thanks to all doctors and nurses of Rotunda hospital in Dublin!

Pain here and there, leg cramps, backache, sleepless nights is nothing... Just let me see my baby...and I'm ready for a challenge.

I'm a mom but I'm really waiting to discover how would I feel being a mom. This feeling for your baby you read in books, see in films....it's ahead of me and I'm looking forward.

Swollen hands and legs

As a first time mom, I worry a lot about changes happening with me. Before it was leg cramps, now it's swollen legs and hands. It wasn't so bad before but yesterday I could not even see my bones on my ankles. It's not that I worry about myself, I worry about well being of my baby. Pre-eclampsia is that I worry about. I didn't have headache, dizziness, swollen face...so decided I'm going to check tomorrow with midwifes in hospital.

Big thanks to my hubby who takes care about me! Bless him and his patience.

Don't miss. Mothercare is having 50% sale in store and online. Few weeks ago I went to Newry and I'm very happy with my baby shopping. I saved a lot so I could afford to buy more things for my little angel. I personally love Mothercare. They have everything you need.
